Corday Brown Dies in Horrific Pedestrian Crash on Highway 99

10-Year-Old Boy Fatally Struck Near Highway 99 in Fresno

Fresno, CA (September 22, 2025) — A 10-year-old boy, identified by family as Corday Brown, died Sunday afternoon after being struck by a truck near Highway 99 in Fresno.

The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened just after 4 p.m. near the Cesar Chavez Boulevard exit. Investigators learned that about 10 children were playing near the fast lane of the off-ramp when a southbound truck attempted to avoid them but hit Brown.

Officers performed CPR at the scene before paramedics rushed the boy to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
