Corey Wren Dies in Tragic Motorcycle Crash on East Trent Avenue [Spokane Valley, WA]

Spokane Valley, WA (July 25, 2026) — 50-year-old Corey Wren died Thursday afternoon after a pickup truck crossed into his path on East Trent Avenue in Spokane Valley.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened around 4:35 p.m. on State Route 290 near North Evergreen Road.

Investigators said a GMC Sierra traveling east briefly left the roadway onto the right shoulder before returning to the lane and colliding with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling in the same direction.

The impact sent both vehicles into the westbound lanes and onto the shoulder. The motorcyclist, identified as Corey S. Wren, 50, of Spokane Valley, was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.

Emergency crews transported the 23-year-old pickup driver, who is from Spokane, to a local hospital after he experienced a medical emergency. Authorities said drugs and alcohol did not contribute to the crash.

East Trent Avenue was temporarily closed between North Pines Road and North Evergreen Road while investigators examined the scene. The roadway later reopened. The investigation remains ongoing, and potential charges against the pickup driver are pending.
