Two People Hospitalized After Crash on West Little York Road in Houston
HOUSTON, TX (February 19, 2026) — Two people suffered injuries early Thursday morning after a crash on West Little York Road involving a white Corvette during a police pursuit, according to the Houston Police Department.
The incident occurred around 2:09 a.m. on West Little York Road, just west of Antoine Drive.
Authorities reported that patrol officers initially spotted the Corvette running red lights and driving recklessly at high speeds along West Montgomery Road.
When officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the driver accelerated, prompting a pursuit that lasted approximately five minutes.
During the chase, the Corvette experienced a flat tire. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn before crashing into a Masonic Lodge building.
Emergency responders from the Houston Fire Department extricated the occupants from the overturned vehicle.
The driver, identified as a man believed to be in his 30s, and his female passenger, also believed to be in her 30s, were transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
Investigators stated that the Corvette does not appear to be stolen.
However, police confirmed that the male driver has an outstanding felony warrant for aggregate felony theft and engaging in organized crime.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office will determine what additional charges, if any, may be filed in connection with the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
