Craig Mitchell Fatally Struck on Phelan Road [Phelan, CA]

Phelan, CA (October 27, 2022) – Just yesterday, 73-year-old Craig Mitchell was fatally struck by a big rig on Phelan Road.

The deadly accident happened at about 8:17 p.m. east of Caughling Road.

According to CHP, two off-duty firefighters reported the incident. They said it was obvious the pedestrian was deceased. 

Immediately, the San Bernardino County Fire arrived and declared Craig Mitchell dead at the scene .

Meanwhile, two tractor-trailer semis that were traveling eastbound on Phelan Road were stopped at the scene. The authorities used a flashlight to light up the front of one of the big rig.

The authorities are still investigating the fatal accident East of Caughling Road.
