SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 8, 2026) – Sunday night, a man died in a devastating crane truck crash on 4700 Interstate 35 South.

The incident happened at about 5:19 p.m. in the 4600 block of Interstate 35 South, near West Southcross Boulevard.

A man was killed after the Kia Forte he was driving southbound struck a crane truck, authorities said.

The man, who had not been identified, was unresponsive at the scene and was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

It was not immediately clear why the Kia struck the truck. Reports confirmed that the crash remains under investigation. No additional information was immediately available.
