Tucson, AZ (February 9, 2026) – Two people suffered serious injuries Saturday following a crash at San Joaquin and Old Ajo Highway, according to the Drexel Heights Fire District.

Emergency crews responded to the scene on February 8, where the collision caused a temporary road closure as first responders worked to assist those involved and clear the roadway. 

Authorities confirmed that two individuals were transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

Two additional people involved in the crash declined medical treatment at the scene. 

Officials have not released further details regarding the circumstances leading up to the collision.
