Southbound I-35 Reopens After Two-Vehicle Crash in South Austin

Austin, TX (May 15, 2025) — On Wednesday morning, authorities reopened the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 in South Austin following a two-vehicle crash near Ben White Boulevard and Stassney Lane.

According to the Austin Police Department, officers responded to the collision shortly before 5:50 a.m. Investigators said the crash caused temporary lane closures along the busy stretch of highway while crews worked at the scene.

Officials reported minor injuries but have not confirmed how many people were involved. Authorities are still investigating what caused the collision.

Traffic later resumed after crews cleared the roadway.
