PHOENIX, AZ (August 21, 2026)— One man died and three other people, including two children, suffered injuries Thursday evening after a two-vehicle crash near Cave Creek Road in north Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Police officers and firefighters responded to the collision at approximately 7:15 p.m. near Cave Creek and Beardsley roads, just south of Loop 101.

Emergency crews arrived and found a man who had been ejected from his vehicle during the crash. Paramedics transported him to a hospital, where medical personnel later pronounced him dead.

A woman and two children traveling in the other vehicle also suffered injuries. Emergency responders transported all three to a hospital for treatment. Phoenix police said their injuries were not expected to be life-threatening.

Preliminary information from investigators indicated that the man who died may have been driving on the wrong side of the roadway before the collision.
