Santee, CA (March 27, 2026) — A juvenile suffered injuries after a hit-and-run crash near Mission Gorge Road involving an e-motorcycle on Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 1:50 p.m. after receiving reports of a collision between a vehicle and a young rider. Investigators determined that the juvenile was traveling in the roadway on an e-motorcycle when a passing vehicle struck them.

The impact threw the rider off the e-motorcycle, leaving the juvenile injured on the road. The driver involved did not stop and fled the scene before authorities arrived.

Emergency responders transported the injured juvenile to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

While deputies handled the incident, several other juveniles riding e-motorcycles reportedly fled the area, riding dangerously through medians and into oncoming traffic. Officers chose not to pursue them in order to focus on the injured victim.
