Police Investigate Crash Near Railroad Tracks in Las Cruces

LAS CRUCES, NM (November 29, 2025) — Authorities are actively investigating a vehicle crash near the railroad tracks in the southern part of Las Cruces on Friday afternoon.

The Las Cruces Police Department responded to the incident around 2:45 p.m., which prompted the temporary closure of Main Street between Boutz Road and Valley Drive. 

Details surrounding the cause of the crash, the number of vehicles involved, and whether anyone was injured have not yet been disclosed.

The area around the crash site remained cordoned off as police secured the scene and began their preliminary investigation. 

Traffic in the area was diverted to alternate routes, and drivers were advised to avoid the area until authorities cleared the roadway.
