1 Dead in Dallas Auto Accident on 13700 N Central Expressway

DALLAS, TX (March 23, 2026) – Late Saturday night, a 5-year-old child died in a brutal single-vehicle crash on 13700 N Central Expressway.

The incident happened at 10:05 p.m. in the 13700 block of N Central Expressway, south of Spring Valley Road.

Investigators said a Lexus traveling southbound struck an attenuation barrier at the entrance to an HOV lane. The impact was severe, causing the vehicle to fold in half before coming to rest in the lane.

The adult male driver was ejected during the crash. Responders also found a 5-year-old child trapped in the wreckage.

Both were taken to a hospital, where the child later died. The driver remained in critical condition.

Authorities had not released their identities. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
