1 Person Dead in Denton County Auto Accident on 600 North Stemmons Freeway Service Road

DENTON COUNTY, TX (April 13, 2025) – Friday afternoon, a horrific traffic crash on 600 North Stemmons Freeway Service Road killed one person.

Reports said that the incident happened around 3:00 p.m. in the 600 Block of North Stemmons Freeway Service Road.

According to the Lake Dallas Police, a northbound gray Ford pickup drove straight into the raised lane divider and traveled through the eastbound lanes where it collided with a westbound white Mercedes.

Moreover, responders pronounced the driver of the Mercedes, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the Ford to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified. 

Due to limited information, the Lake Dallas PD continued investigating the crash.
