Pedestrian Killed in Tucson Hit-and-Run Crash on Alvernon Road

Tucson, AZ (February 15, 2026) — Tucson police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash on Alvernon Road Friday night.

It was around 7 p.m. on February 13 when the deadly crash happened near Pima.

Authorities determined the victim was attempting to cross Alvernon Road when he was hit by a dark blue 2011–2014 Hyundai Sonata traveling north. That vehicle fled the scene right after the impact.

Moreover, another vehicle struck the victim, and that driver remained at the scene.

Investigators believe the first collision caused the fatal injuries.

Police are reviewing nearby surveillance footage to track the suspect vehicle and any other cars in the area before or after the crash. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME anonymously.
