Horrific Traffic Crash on Bluewater Highway Under Investigation [Brazoria County, TX]

Multiple Injured in Possible Motorcycle Crash on Bluewater Highway in Brazoria County

Brazoria County, TX (November 9, 2025) — On Friday afternoon, authorities are investigating a frightening crash on Bluewater Highway that may have involved motorcyclists.

According to authorities, the collision happened around 12:15 p.m. along the 9000 block of Bluewater Highway, between San Luis Pass and Surfside Beach.

Emergency responders, including several Life Flight helicopters and EMS teams, arrived at the scene to assist multiple victims. Aerial footage showed two damaged motorcycles—one heavily wrecked—and a car that had veered into the grassy median.

Officials have not yet confirmed how many people were involved or what caused the collision. The investigation remains ongoing.

Motorcycle Collisions Can Be Prevented

According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), a person is injured in a motor vehicle crash every two minutes in Texas. In 2021 alone, more than 239,000 people were hurt in traffic accidents statewide — a sobering reminder that road safety is truly a matter of life and death.

Sadly, reckless and distracted driving continue to claim lives every day. Every few hours, another fatal crash happens somewhere in Texas. That’s why it’s so important to drive defensively, stay alert, follow the speed limit, and keep an eye out for others on the road. Safe driving is everyone’s responsibility.

Motorcycle riders and drivers are urged to stay alert on scenic routes like Bluewater Highway. Maintain safe distances and watch for sudden lane changes to help prevent serious crashes.
