Serious Pedestrian Injuries Can Have Lasting Consequences

A pedestrian collision involving a young person can be especially difficult for families. Severe injuries may require emergency treatment, hospitalization, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical care.

Families may also face unexpected expenses and significant changes to their daily routines while a young person focuses on recovery.

At Sweet Lawyers, we understand how overwhelming it can be when a child or teenager suffers serious injuries in a traffic collision.

Our personal injury team approaches these situations with compassion and care while helping families understand the legal resources and options that may be available.

Because both individuals involved in this Clovis collision are juveniles, authorities may limit the amount of information they publicly release.

Nevertheless, investigating a pedestrian crash can involve reviewing available evidence such as police reports, photographs, witness accounts, vehicle damage, roadway conditions, traffic signals, surveillance footage, and other records.

The fact that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police does not by itself resolve questions about how the collision occurred or whether anyone may be legally responsible for the resulting injuries.

Investigators must consider the available evidence and circumstances surrounding the crash.

For families dealing with serious pediatric or adolescent injuries, the recovery process can involve more than immediate medical treatment.

Depending on the injury, a young person may need follow-up appointments, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medication, assistive equipment, or other forms of care.

Parents and guardians may also need to take time away from work to provide transportation and support.

Sweet Lawyers recognizes the unique concerns families can face when a young person is injured.

We are committed to explaining available resources in clear, understandable terms and treating each family with dignity and compassion.

If your child or another loved one was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident in Clovis, Fresno County, or elsewhere in California, visit Sweet Lawyers to learn more about Sweet Lawyers’ personal injury services and available resources.

If your family is coping with the aftermath of a serious pedestrian collision, obtaining appropriate medical care and keeping records related to the injury and recovery can help preserve important information.
