Pierce County, WA (October 1, 2026) — An 84-year-old woman died after a shocking crash on Canyon Road East when another vehicle struck her sedan Monday morning.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. at Canyon Road East and 200th Street East in the Frederickson area. The woman was driving behind a semi-truck as it turned left from Canyon Road onto eastbound 200th Street.

As she followed the truck through the intersection, another vehicle traveling north struck her sedan. She suffered life-threatening injuries and died while being transported to a hospital.
