Hit-and-Run Crash on Chatsworth Street Injures Pedestrian [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (September 6, 2026) — LAPD is searching for the driver who seriously injured a woman in her 70s after a hit-and-run crash on Chatsworth Street.

The collision happened around 8:20 p.m. on Aug. 30 as the woman crossed Chatsworth Street near Louise Avenue.

Investigators said she was walking north behind another pedestrian when an eastbound vehicle, believed to be a gray Honda Accord, struck her near the sidewalk.

The driver fled without stopping or providing assistance. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the woman to a local hospital for treatment of severe injuries. Authorities have not released an update on her condition or a description of the driver.

Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the suspect’s identification, arrest, and conviction or otherwise resolves the case.
