SAN ANTONIO, TX (August 13, 2026) – On Tuesday, authorities arrested Issac Mathew Trinidad after an alarming multi-vehicle crash on East César E Chávez Boulevard.

The incident happened on East César E Chávez Boulevard and South Flores Street.

According to reports, a DPS anti-gang trooper attempted a traffic stop on a white BMW. Then, the suspect vehicle briefly pulled over to drop off a woman, then fled the scene.

Moreover, officers confirmed that while fleeing, the suspect vehicle sideswiped another vehicle and collided with two trucks and a Range Rover.

Furthermore, responders transported two female occupants of the Range Rover to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Also, authorities transported the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Issac Mathew Trinidad, to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Meanwhile, officers confirmed that the BMW vehicle was stolen.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Texas Department of Public Safety continued its investigation into the crash.
