Frightening Crash on Green River Road Kills Toddler [Auburn, WA]

2-Year-Old Girl Dies After Auburn Crash; Driver Faces Homicide Charges

Auburn, WA (April 30, 2026) — On Monday evening, a 2-year-old girl has died after suffering severe injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Green River Road in Auburn.

Authorities say that the child was traveling in a car with an adult driver and an 8-year-old when the vehicle crashed near Green River Road Southeast and 104th Avenue Southeast in the Lea Hill area. Emergency responders airlifted both children to Harborview Medical Center due to the seriousness of their injuries.

Despite medical efforts, the young girl later succumbed to her injuries. The 8-year-old remains hospitalized.

Authorities arrested the adult driver at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence. Following the child’s death, prosecutors are now pursuing vehicular homicide and vehicular assault charges.
