Motorcycle Crash on Highway 24 Under Investigation [Chariton County, MO]

Keytesville Woman Killed, Brookfield Man Seriously Hurt in Chariton County Motorcycle Crash

Chariton County, MO (May 19, 2025) — On Saturday evening, a woman from Keytesville died and a man from Brookfield suffered serious injuries following a motorcycle crash on Highway 24 in Chariton County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 11:20 p.m. on Highway 24, about three miles east of Keytesville.

Investigators said the pair were riding eastbound on a 2011 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when the driver traveled off the roadway. Both riders were thrown from the motorcycle during the crash.

Authorities pronounced the Keytesville woman dead at the scene. The Brookfield man sustained serious injuries and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

Officials continue to investigate the crash.
