Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Highway 41 South of Jensen Avenue in Fresno

FRESNO, CA (May 13, 2026) — A pedestrian died early Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle in a crash on Highway 41 south of Jensen Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 1 a.m.

Officers said an 83-year-old driver was traveling southbound on Highway 41 in a Hyundai Tucson when the pedestrian walked directly in front of the vehicle.

The driver struck the pedestrian, and emergency responders later pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

CHP said the driver remained at the crash site and fully cooperated with investigators.

Officers do not believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision.

Authorities have not yet identified the pedestrian.

The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the fatal crash.
