Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10 Prompts EMS Response [Phoenix, AZ]

Phoenix, AZ (July 7, 2026) — A three-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 temporarily shut down the eastbound lanes near 35th Avenue in west Phoenix on Sunday afternoon.

The collision was reported around noon. Traffic cameras showed a black Toyota SUV with severe damage after crashing into a large roadside pole.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to free the driver from the wrecked SUV before transporting the individual to a nearby hospital by ambulance.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating the cause of the crash. Authorities have not released the number of people involved or the severity of any injuries.

All lanes of Interstate 10 have since reopened.
