Cajon Pass, CA (December 25, 2025) — On Tuesday evening, a deadly crash on Interstate 15 freeway Tuesday night after an SUV slammed into the back of a semi-truck in the Cajon Pass.

The collision happened around 8:49 p.m. just south of Highway 138. Investigators said a red SUV was traveling in the right lanes when it struck the rear of a semi hauling roughly 75,000 pounds of produce. The impact crushed the front of the SUV beneath the trailer, causing severe damage to the vehicle.

San Bernardino County Fire crews arrived at the scene and confirmed one person died in the crash. Emergency responders checked the wreckage to determine whether anyone else was trapped inside.
