Denver Police Search for Hit-and-Run Driver After Bicyclist Suffers Serious Injuries
Denver, CO (July 9, 2026) — Denver police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a driver who seriously injured a bicyclist after a hit-and-run crash on Leetsdale Drive on the morning of July 4.
Investigators said the crash happened around 4:37 a.m. at the intersection with South Holly Street. A dark-colored SUV, believed to be a possible Nissan Rogue, reportedly turned left in front of a bicyclist traveling southbound, causing the collision.
The bicyclist sustained serious injuries. Authorities said the driver left the scene without stopping to provide assistance or the legally required information.
Police believe the suspect vehicle may have minor to moderate damage to the front driver’s side hood. The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.
