Daviess County, MO (July 16, 2026) — On Tuesday afternoon, 2 people suffered injuries following a crash on Missouri Route J involving a car and a pickup truck.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly after 3 p.m. on Missouri Route J at Titan Avenue, about one mile south of Altamont. Investigators said a 66-year-old woman driving a 2014 Ford F-250 northbound attempted to turn left into a private driveway when a southbound 2011 Chevrolet Malibu struck the pickup.

Emergency crews transported the 24-year-old Malibu driver and her 20-year-old passenger to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for treatment. The pickup driver was not injured.

Authorities also reported that neither driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol did not release the identities of those involved.
