2-Vehicle Crash on Orangethorpe Avenue Kills Motorcycle Rider [Fullerton, CA]

Fullerton, CA (May 24, 2025) — On Friday afternoon, a motorcyclist died after a frightening crash on Orangethorpe Avenue involving a Tesla Cybertruck.

According to police, the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. near West Orangethorpe Avenue and South Gilbert Street. Officers arriving at the scene found the rider and a brown Honda Navi motorcycle in the intersection, while the Tesla Cybertruck was stopped nearby.

Authorities said paramedics transported the motorcyclist to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Preliminary findings indicate the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Orangethorpe Avenue when the westbound Cybertruck attempted to turn south onto Gilbert Street. The motorcycle then struck the side of the truck.
