School Bus Crash on Sandifer Street Results in Injuries [Austin, TX]

School Bus Crash in Southeast Austin

Austin, TX (December 13, 2025) — On Thursday afternoon, a school bus carrying 32 students was involved in a frightening crash on Sandifer Street in southeast Austin, but no one suffered serious injuries.

Austin Fire Department and Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the incident in the 14400 block of Sandifer Street near Hornsby Bend, east of State Highway 130.

Emergency crews evaluated the students on-site for minor injuries, but all were cleared.

Del Valle ISD confirmed the bus belonged to the district and reported that parents were notified. The bus later resumed its route without incident.
