Police Investigate Crash on U.S. 412 in Dunklin County
Dunklin County, MO (July 9, 2026) – Two Paragould women suffered serious injuries Thursday afternoon in a crash on U.S. 412 involving a car and a Freightliner.
A Dunklin County dispatcher said the collision happened at approximately 1:00 p.m. Emergency responders dispatched two medical helicopters to the scene.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 68-year-old Paragould woman was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Impala northbound on Route AC.
Investigators said she entered the path of an eastbound 2013 Freightliner, and the Impala struck the commercial truck’s towed unit.
Emergency crews airlifted the 68-year-old driver to St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro for treatment.
A 46-year-old Paragould woman who was riding as a passenger in the Impala also suffered serious injuries. Responders flew her to Regional One Health in Memphis.
The Freightliner driver, a 36-year-old man from Schaumburg, Illinois, was not injured.
Authorities have not released additional information about the women’s current conditions.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
