Motorcyclist Airlifted After Crash on Remote Stretch of Usal Road

Southern Humboldt, CA (June 13, 2025) — On Thursday afternoon, a 42-year-old motorcyclist suffered injuries following a crash on Usal Road, triggering a large emergency response in a remote area of Southern Humboldt.

The incident was reported around 4:15 p.m. Emergency responders learned that another motorcyclist was transporting the injured rider toward the intersection of Usal Road and Briceland Road to meet medical personnel.

Fire crews, ambulance personnel, and air medical teams responded to the scene. Authorities made contact with the injured woman at Four Corners, where responders evaluated her and determined she was experiencing significant pain in her right ankle.

Officials established a landing zone at a nearby airport, and an air ambulance ultimately transported the woman from the scene for further medical treatment.

The cause of the motorcycle crash has not been released, and the incident remains under investigation.
