Three Suspects Arrested After Crash on West Little York Road in Houston

HOUSTON, TX (April 24, 2026)— A police chase in north Houston ended Friday morning with several officers hospitalized and three suspects in custody after a crash on West Little York Road.

Houston police said the incident began Thursday afternoon when three suspects allegedly stole a vehicle. Officers searched for the vehicle and later located it on Thursday night. 

When officers attempted to stop the suspects, the driver fled and led police on a chase through Houston.

During the pursuit, three patrol units crashed. The first crash happened shortly after midnight when officers initially spotted the stolen vehicle. 

While pursuing the suspects, an officer crashed and rolled a patrol unit near West Little York Road and the North Freeway.

Additional officers, including deputies with the Harris County Constable Precinct 1 Office, joined the chase.

Another crash occurred near West Mount Houston Road and the North Freeway when a Houston police officer and a Precinct 1 constable deputy collided in an intersection while responding to the pursuit.

Authorities said all injured officers were transported to the hospital. Officials expect them to recover.

The chase ended when the suspects crashed the stolen vehicle into a ditch and attempted to run from the scene. Officers arrested all three suspects.

Authorities have not yet confirmed what charges the suspects may face.
