COLUMBIA, MO (May 31, 2026) – Saturday morning, a crippling 2-vehicle crash on US Highway 50 near Missouri Highway 5 injured one person.

The incident happened at around 11:45 a.m. on US Highway 50 near Missouri Highway 5.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound 2022 Ford Expedition made a turn and collided with a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia semi-truck. Then, debris from the crash struck a 2025 Ford Explorer that was roadside.

Moreover, responders rushed the 66-year-old female driver of the Ford to a hospital with serious injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
