KANSAS CITY, MO (March 18, 2026) – Tuesday morning, a crippling 2-vehicle crash on Wornall Road and Ward Parkway injured 7 people.

The incident happened around 10:15 a.m. on Wornall Road and Ward Parkway.

Kansas City police said seven people were injured in a crash at Wornall Road and Ward Parkway.

Investigators said a Nissan Kicks carrying six people was traveling north on Wornall when it ran a red light and collided with a Ford heading east.

All seven people involved were taken to local hospitals. One person, who was riding in the trunk of the Nissan, suffered critical injuries, while the others sustained minor injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
