Gonzales Multi-Vehicle Accident on Old Stage Road

GONZALES, CA (November 16, 2025) – Friday morning, a crippling 3-vehicle crash on Old Stage Road led to injuries.

The crash involving three vehicles, including a Monterey-Salinas Transit Rides bus, happened on Old Stage Road.

A preliminary investigation found that a man driving a Kia sedan north on the Old Stage Road overcrossing ran a stop sign, passed an MST bus illegally, and moved into the southbound lane. The Kia then hit a GMC pickup head-on. Two juveniles were in the GMC along with the driver.

The impact sent the Kia spinning into the side of the MST bus.

CHP said the GMC driver had moderate injuries, and a juvenile passenger had minor injuries. Both were taken to the hospital. The man driving the Kia and his female passenger suffered major injuries and were also transported.

Ten passengers were on the MST bus heading to La Casa Adult Day Health Center in Salinas. MST officials said none of the passengers or the bus driver had serious injuries, and the bus was told to take everyone back home.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
