1 Person Hospitalized in Bakersfield Bicycle Accident on Owens Street and Quincy Street

BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 29, 2025) – Wednesday afternoon, a crippling bicycle crash on Owens Street and Quincy Street injured one person.

The incident happened at around 4:50 p.m. at the intersection of Owens Street and Quincy Street.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a southbound sedan struck an eastbound bicyclist for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders rushed the 11-year-old bicyclist to a local hospital with critical injuries.

Furthermore, the driver of the sedan remained at the scene and was not suspected of speeding and impairment.
