Injuries Reported in San Juan Bautista Head-On Crash on Highway 129 near School Road

SAN JUAN BAUTISTA, CA (August 31, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a crippling DUI crash on Highway 129 near School Road injured 6 people.

The incident happened just past 1:00 p.m. on Highway 129 near School Road.

According to reports, an alleged DUI driver headed on Highway 129. Then, he weaved in and out of their lane. Meanwhile, another van was driving west on Highway 129 at about 50 mph.

As the eastbound van went into the westbound lane, it collided head-on with the other van.

As a result, responders transported six passengers to the hospital with injuries from the westbound van. Officers confirmed that all six injured passengers were people with disabilities, some were even non-verbal. One of them suffered major injuries while the five others sustained moderate injuries.

Moreover, the driver of the eastbound vehicle suffered no injuries in the crash but was arrested for DUI.
