EL CENTRO, CA (March 26, 2026) – Tuesday morning, an 18-year-old student was involved in a crippling e-bike crash on El Centro Lane.



The incident happened just before 9:45 a.m. on El Centro Lane and Wickerd Road.

CHP dispatchers received 911 calls reporting that a student had been struck near a campus.

Authorities said the 18-year-old e-bike rider was able to walk to the high school office after the incident. The student suffered abrasions and was treated by responding medical personnel.

The driver, identified as a minor student, was not injured.

Officials had not yet determined the cause of the crash or whether any citations would be issued.
