Injuries Reported in Jamestown Auto Accident on Old O’Byrnes Ferry Road

JAMESTOWN, CA (October 6, 2025) – Saturday, 51-year-old Kristine Shopp was arrested after a crippling head-on crash on Old O’Byrnes Road.

The incident happened on Old O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

A 51-year-old woman was arrested after a head-on crash in Tuolumne County that left another driver injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Investigators said Shopp was driving a 1999 Acura TL southbound on O’Byrnes Ferry Road at around 30–40 mph when she crossed over the double yellow lines and collided head-on with a 2005 Lexus SUV driven by 77-year-old Victor Gin of Copperopolis. Gin had two passengers in the vehicle at the time.

One of the passengers, 76-year-old Mildred Poon of Castro Valley, suffered minor injuries.

CHP said Shopp was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for felony DUI with the possibility of great bodily injury. She was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail.
