30-Year-Old Skateboarder Injured in Crippling Hit-and-Run Crash near Nordhoff Street [Panorama City, CA]

Injuries Reported in Panorama City Skateboard Accident near Nordhoff Street and Lurline Avenue

PANORAMA CITY, CA (January 20, 2026) – Thursday night, a 30-year-old skateboarder sustained injuries in a crippling hit-and-run crash near Nordhoff Street.

The incident happened at about 5:15 p.m. near Nordhoff Street and Lurline Avenue, after a speeding gray four-door Ford Fusion hit the skateboarder. The impact pushed the victim, who then hit the road near the curb.

Police reported that the driver involved in a collision on Nordhoff Street failed to stop and continued westbound before making a U-turn and traveling eastbound.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a hospital in critical condition. Authorities have not released details about the extent of his injuries.

Detectives described the suspect vehicle as having a light gray repaint on the front right fender, white tape along the edges of both rear headlamps, and possibly tinted rear windows.

The LAPD is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the driver.
