40-Year-Old Man Injured in Crippling Hit-and-Run Crash on Green Valley Road [Santa Cruz, CA]

Injuries Reported in Santa Cruz Pedestrian Accident on Green Valley Road

SANTA CRUZ, CA (December 10, 2025) – Sunday night, a 40-year-old man sustained injuries in a crippling hit-and-run crash on Green Valley Road.

The incident happened between 9:00 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. on Green Valley Road, east of Pioneer Road.

The man was walking eastbound on Green Valley Road, east of Pioneer Road, when he was struck by an unknown vehicle, possibly a sedan. The vehicle was also traveling eastbound and fled after the collision. The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was taken to Watsonville Hospital.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs were involved.
