Injuries Reported in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on Ninth Street and Hope Street

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 14, 2026) – Monday, investigators are tracking down a driver who hit a man in his 70s during a hit-and-run crash on Ninth Street and Hope Street.

The incident happened last June 3rd at around 11:55 p.m. on Ninth Street and Hope Street.

Police said a pedestrian was injured after being struck by a red sport utility vehicle at the intersection of Ninth Street and Hope Street.

Investigators said the SUV was traveling east on Ninth Street and turning left onto northbound Hope Street when it hit the pedestrian, who was crossing Hope Street in a marked crosswalk.

Paramedics transported the man to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department’s Central Traffic Division or submit an anonymous tip through Los Angeles Regional Crime Stoppers.
