ALBUQUERQUE, NM (January 25, 2026) – Friday, a crippling minibike crash on Edith Boulevard NE and La Donna Lane East injured 2 juveniles.

The incident involving a minibike happened southbound on Edith Boulevard NE and La Donna Lane East.

A juvenile riding a minibike was critically injured in a crash on Edith, according to police.

Investigators said one juvenile was riding southbound in the northbound lanes, while a second juvenile was traveling southbound on the dirt shoulder of northbound Edith. Near the intersection of Edith and La Donna, the minibike on the shoulder entered the northbound lanes and was struck by a black 2021 Hyundai Elantra traveling northbound.

The impact ejected the juvenile from the minibike. The rider was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
