Injuries Reported in Woodland Hills Motorcycle Accident on Ventura Freeway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard

WOODLAND HILLS, CA (May 10, 2026) – Friday night, an LAPD officer sustained injuries in a crippling motorcycle crash on Ventura Freeway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard.

The incident happened at 11:33 p.m. on the northbound Ventura Freeway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard.

A motorcycle officer with the Los Angeles Police Department was injured in a crash and taken to a hospital, where officials said he had stable vital signs.

Authorities said it was not immediately clear what caused the crash or whether any other vehicles were involved.

The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert that shut down the northbound Nos. 1 through 4 lanes during the investigation, allowing traffic to continue only in the far-right lane. The alert was canceled at 2:43 a.m. Saturday.

Video from the scene showed the damaged police motorcycle lodged against the center divider while investigators examined the crash site.
