Injuries Reported in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on 8081 Balboa Avenue

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 14, 2026) – Friday night, a 37-year-old woman sustained injuries in a crippling pedestrian crash on 8081 Balboa Avenue.

The incident happened at about 10:43 p.m. in a parking lot at 8081 Balboa Avenue.

Police said a 26-year-old man had parked a 2014 Honda Accord in the lot and later got inside and began driving away. For reasons that remain unknown, the woman was lying on the ground in front of the vehicle when the collision occurred.

The driver felt an impact and stopped, then backed up. He then discovered the woman on the ground, authorities said. She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with a fractured sacrum and fractured humerus.

The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is investigating the collision. Police said DUI was not determined to be a factor.
