Bus Hits 1 in Fresno Pedestrian Accident on Blackstone Avenue and Gettysburg Avenue

FRESNO, CA (September 30, 2025) – Sunday afternoon, a crippling pedestrian crash on Blackstone Avenue and Gettysburg Avenue injured 1 person.

The incident happened at about 12:15 p.m. on Blackstone Avenue, north of Gettysburg Avenue.

Fresno police say a man in his 60s was critically injured after being struck by a city bus.

Officers and FAX staff responded and found the victim with a severe arm injury. Police applied a tourniquet before EMS transported him to CRMC, where he remains in critical condition.

Surveillance video showed the man fell into the street as the bus was pulling away, and its right rear tires ran over his upper body. He was not attempting to board the bus at the time.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
