HARRIS COUNTY, TX (February 23, 2026) – Sunday afternoon, a 2-year-old child was hospitalized after a crippling pedestrian crash on Brentwood Street near Dell Dale.

The incident happened at 12:43 p.m. on Brentwood Street near Dell Dale.

A 2-year-old child was rushed to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle in east Harris County, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.

The sheriff first reported the crash on social media at 12:43 p.m.

Channelview EMS transported the child to a nearby hospital. The child’s condition has not been released.

“The driver of the striking vehicle did remain on scene,” the sheriff said.
