PALM SPRINGS, CA (July 16, 2026) – Wednesday night, a crippling pedestrian crash on Hermosa Drive and Vista Chino sent 1 person to the hospital.

The incident happened just after 6:20 p.m. on Hermosa Drive and Vista Chino.

An 80-year-old Palm Springs woman suffered major injuries in a hit-and-run crash, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.

Police said officers found the woman with major injuries after she was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene before they arrived. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a white Ford F-150, possibly a model year around 2000, driven by a Hispanic man in his 60s with a scruffy white beard.
