KANSAS CITY, MO (October 27, 2025) – Saturday afternoon, a crippling pedestrian crash on Main Street and Westport Road injured one person.

The incident happened at around 12:45 p.m. on Main Street and Westport Road.

According to the Kansas City Police Department, a GMC pickup truck struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk with a red traffic control signal.

Moreover, responders rushed the pedestrian to a hospital in critical condition.

Furthermore, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
