BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 20, 2025) – Sunday night, a crippling pedestrian crash on North Chester Avenue and Roberts Lane injured one person.

The incident happened at around 8:47 p.m. on North Chester Avenue and Roberts Lane.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota pickup struck a male pedestrian for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders rushed the 42-year-old victim to Kern Medical with major head trauma.

Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
