1 Person Hospitalized in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Highway and Sassafras Street

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 30, 2025) – Monday night, a crippling pedestrian crash on Pacific Highway and Sassafras Street injured one person.

The incident happened at around 5:04 p.m. on Pacific Highway and Sassafras Street.

According to the San Diego Police Department, a southbound Chrysler Pacifica struck a pedestrian for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders rushed the male pedestrian to a hospital with head trauma, a fractured pelvis, a fractured right femur, and an open fracture to the right tib/fib.

Furthermore, the 75-year-old female driver of the Pacifica remained at the scene and said that she did not see the man before the collision.
