Injuries Reported in Brisbane Pedestrian Accident on Visitacion Avenue

BRISBANE, CA (February 9, 2025) – Friday night, a woman and daughter suffered injuries in a crippling pedestrian crash on Visitacion Avenue.

The incident happened at about 6:00 p.m. when a driver passing Midtown Market on Visitacion Avenue hit a woman standing outside her vehicle.

Police said the woman was critically injured and remains in serious condition. Her 4-year-old daughter sustained minor injuries and was found close to the roadway.

People in the area rushed to help after witnessing the crash. Officers closed part of the road and took care of the child to prevent her from seeing her mother’s injuries.

A 71-year-old man was arrested Saturday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence causing injury. He was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility and could face additional charges as the investigation continues, according to Brisbane police.

“We are deeply thankful for the selflessness and courage shown by the members of our community,” said Lisa Macias, Chief of Police at the Brisbane Police Department. “Their quick thinking helped prevent further harm and comfort the child during a traumatic moment.”
